1998 - 2005

Marco died Tuesday, August 9, 2005 of cancer.  Marco was a Belgium Malinois imported to the United States from Holland where he was born. He was brought here and trained by Jeff Moody of Wachtmeister Police Dog Trainers LTD. Marco was trained as a dual purpose police dog. Marco completed 6 weeks of pre-training with trainer Jeff Moody, and an additional 6 weeks training with his assigned handler, Deputy Lisska. Marco earned his state certification from OPOTA in January of 1999 Marco lived with and worked with Deputy Lisska. In 2002 Deputy Lisska and Marco attended the Ohio Police and Fire games where they were awarded Two silver medals while competing against other K-9 teams from throughout the state.
